We are back again for part two in our series about trusted vendors that you should know. We work with all these people and want you to know about what they do in case you are ever in need of their services. Today we are joined by Ned Geopp of Smartbox to talk a little bit about his business and how they have been able to help our clients.

Ned has been a great resource for our clients in selling their homes. Their smart boxes are a great solution for anyone looking to declutter and get their home on the market. Each box is five feet wide, seven feet long, and eight feet deep. They will hold 98% of what will go into your house.

Each box typically holds between one and one-and-a-half rooms’ worth of furniture. If you aren’t sure how many you need exactly, Ned has no problem with dropping an extra one off just in case. You’ll only pay for the ones you use.
Ned has been a great ally to our customers.
Dealing with moving trucks and storage units can be tricky. It often causes you to make multiple moves. With Smartbox, you only have to touch your things twice. First, when you put them it in the box, and second, when you unload them at your new home. If you’re still in the market searching for the perfect fit, you can store all your furniture with Smartbox while you’re finding your new home.

No matter if you’re buying, selling, or doing a renovation, Smartbox is a smart solution. If you have any questions for Ned or would like to reserve a few Smartboxes, give him a call at 1-877-SMARTBOX (1-877-627-8269). If you have any other questions for us, give us a call or send us an email. We look forward to hearing from you.

I am here today with Cheatham Hill Elementary Principal Keeli Bowen and PTA President Jenna Belfanti. The Cowan Connection Team is a proud corporate sponsor of Cheatham Hill Elementary School.

Because of this, we have a program called “Live Cheatham Hill” where if you or someone you refer buys or sells a home with us, we will donate $250 at closing to either the Cheatham Hill PTA or Cheatham Hill Foundation.
We are proud to present this $500 check.
We recently had two closings that took advantage of this program, so we’d like to present a check for $500 to Jenna Belfanti and the Cheatham Hill PTA. Thank you to everyone for your business and continued support. We look forward to presenting many more checks in the future.

If you have any questions for us, don’t hesitate to give us a call or send us an email. We would love to hear from you.

We Turned Their Bad Experience into a Great One

Our story began with a bad experience with a previous agent. You were recommended to us, which was an absolute savior. We found out that the house we owned when we first got married in 2004 was up for sale again. That has been our dream home so we said, "Let's buy it." We walked in, we were back at home, and that was it. It was pretty simple, and we lived happily ever after.

Check Out Our List of Wonderful Vendors: Part 1

Over the next few weeks, I’m going to share a few of my favorite local vendors with you. Today I’m here with Steve Payment from Flooring Direct to discuss how he takes the hassle out of the flooring process.

Over the years, I have worked with many wonderful vendors. Recently, I decided to start a series to introduce all of these great people to you, my clients.

Today, I want to introduce you to Steve Payment with Flooring Direct. Whether you are preparing your home for the market or it is simply time to update your carpet, tile, or hardwood floors, Steve is the guy to call.

One of the great things about working with Steve is you don’t have to worry about driving out to the showroom. Steve has a mobile showroom so he can bring all of the samples right to you, which takes all of the hassle out of the floor buying process.
Steve can bring samples directly to you, keeping the hassle out of the whole process.
Steve has wood, tile, vinyl, and carpet available to freshen up your home. The number one thing you can do to make your home more appealing to buyers is to update your flooring. “We have products that will meet your needs without breaking your budget,” says Steve. “Because we have a mobile showroom, our costs are low.”

Even if you are not planning on selling your home soon, now is a great time to update your flooring. If you want carpeting, one of the latest trends is to choose a carpet with a little fleck in it. That way, any accidents that might happen are less visible. If you are interested in tile, one of the more popular things to do these days is to get a tile that looks like hardwood. Of course, Steve also offers hardwood floorings to customers.

If you have any questions for Steve, give him a call at 678-923-4327. He will sit down with you for a free consultation and help you pick an item that meets your needs and expectations. One of the reasons I love working with Steve is that his costs are 20% to 40% less than getting flooring from a big box store.

I will introduce you to four more fantastic vendors over the next few weeks, so keep an eye out. In the meantime, if you have any real estate questions, just give me a call or send me an email. I would be happy to help you!

We Love Helping People Buy and Sell

We sold our old home and bought our new home with the Cowan Connection. Tim sold our house so much faster than we ever thought we could get it sold. We were so happy with the service. Lorraine Danielson helped us find our dream home and put up with me while I was pregnant and hormonal. We looked at about 500 houses but we finally found what we wanted and we are so happy and blessed. Thanks!

Spring has sprung! There are a few seasonal activities happening soon, and you definitely don’t want to miss out on the fun.

First, we have the 134th annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade! That’s on Saturday, March 12th from noon to 1:30 p.m. The parade will run from Midtown from 15th to 5th street. However, participation isn’t just an Irish thing. It’s for the entire family! The parade attracts different kinds of acts from all over town, including clowns, bands, dancers, drill teams, and more. Primarily, the event aims to celebrate the diversity among children and families in the Atlanta area. For more information, visit AtlantaStPats.com!

Next, there’s the 78th annual Atlanta Dogwood Festival at Piedmont Park from April 8th to 10th. Every year, the festival fills the park with live music, arts and crafts, food, and other family-friendly activities. Admission is free. For more information, visit Dogwood.org.

Last, don’t miss the first pitch of the season at Turner Field! This is the last season the Atlanta Braves will play in Atlanta before relocating to Cobb County. First pitch will be at 1:05 on Friday, April 1st. The Braves will play against the Tampa Bay Rays. Visit Atlanta.Braves.MLB.com for ticket information, schedules, and other details. Go Braves!

As always, if you’re interested in buying or selling a home in the Atlanta area, reach out to us! We’d be happy to help and serve your real estate needs in the surrounding area. Call or email us!

Whether you’re preparing to sell a home or need some things fixed in your property, these top vendors will take care of everything and get you the most money for your home!

If your flooring is out of date, contact Steve Payment with Carpet Direct. Steve is incredibly reliable. He will sit down with us and discuss what needs to happen to make your property appealing to buyers. Replacing your carpet will help get you a fair price in today’s market, so contact Steve at (678) 923-4327.

Paint is the cheapest way to add value, with the biggest impact. If your house is beat up, you have rotting wood on the exterior, or you personalized your home with bright and cheerful colors, Mike and Karen Byars can neutralize it all. You can contact Mike and Karen with Fresh Coat Painting at (770) 712-9462.

Everybody has little things they need to do, but not everyone has the time or resources to do them. That’s where handyman Shawn Livingston with Total Home Repair Service comes in. He understands exactly what we’re going through, whether you’re trying to make it through an inspection or you’re preparing your home for the market. During your listing consultation, we will pick out what needs attention. Steve takes care of little jobs, big jobs, and everything in between. If you want a handyman who stays on budget, call Shawn at (770) 315-5917.

Finally, if you need to store anything before you move, call Ned Goepp at Smartbox Portable Storage. Most people will put unnecessary items or furniture in a storage unit and then move them into the new property. With Smartbox, Ned will drop off boxes and leave them in your driveway. After you pack them up, he will store them in a climate-controlled area, and he will drop them off so you don’t have to move those boxes twice.  Call (404) 291-9253 if you have items you want to put in storage.

These vendors have worked with us frequently, and they all provide great customer service. If you have any questions about today’s video or about real estate in general, give us a call or send us an email. We would be happy to help you!
